Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sinéad Acevedo, Founder and CEO of Her Voice Hub, located in West Palm Beach, FL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We help female entrepreneurs embrace their authentic voice through the most powerful platform - podcasting! While there are other agencies out there specializing in podcasts, Her Voice Hub stands out from the crowd by using a tried and true implementation of boutique marketing strategies for each and every client. No two clients receive the exact same strategy because every client has their own specific industry, demographic, and needs. Podcasting is storytelling at its best, PLUS an incredible way to reach audiences and poise oneself as an authority in your field!

Tell us about yourself

After 10 years in the hospitality industry, I realized my life was consumed with work - no family time and, as a new mom, definitely no "me" time. So I evaluated the skills I have gained over the past decade and started from scratch with my own online freelancing gigs - this now has grown into an amazing umbrella brand of endless possibilities and opportunities!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

When my daughter was born, I knew I wanted to be her role model, but how could I be if I wasn't the woman I wanted to be yet? This is where podcasting definitely aligned as not only did I find my own voice, but continuing to empower other females to embrace their voice too!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Endurance and motivation, for sure!! Just when you get over one big learning curve, another approach, and this wave is so much stronger, but standing up - facing what is in front of you and knowing that you will come out stronger and so much wiser than before.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. It is never too late to start and grow your very own business - just take the leap.
  2. Join a community - a lot of us believe people with the same expertise are competition when in fact, they should be seen as a learning community - business keeps evolving, and learning to lean on each other to build your confidence and business is a must!
  3. Implement your own life story into your business, and no, I'm not saying photos of your new poodle but life experiences and how it has affected the decisions you have made and become the person you are today.
