Her Content Collective is for aspiring females who want to grow their influence online to monetize their Social Media platforms and go on to build a life of choices and freedom.

Tell us about yourself

My background started with a passion for health and wellness, working in the beauty industry for over 12 years. I worked on cruise ships for 8 of those years. My two passions have always been helping people feel good about themselves and traveling the world! I got to do both of those things working on cruise ships. When I left my career at sea, I knew I still wanted to do both of those things, but I was also craving more purpose and more passion in what I was doing, and I always felt like I was able to help people on a deeper level.

Not long after leaving my career at sea, I started a Social marketing business which massively pushed me to grow my skills in so many areas but more specifically, my Mindset. I had so much work to do on myself, having just gotten out of a very toxic relationship, I was overweight, I had lost a lot of self-confidence, and I just wasn't comfortable in my own skin. What I didn't realize at the time was starting that business, I was saying YES to myself; I was saying YES to being a better version of myself.

Starting my own business made me work on my limiting beliefs, self-doubts, and those BS stories I was telling myself. Working on my Mindset shifted every area of my life for the better. My desire to help people has led me to coach and work with 100's s of women over the last eight years who get held back in life and business because of low self-worth and confidence. This is where Her Content Collective evolved because I realized so many women want to do something for themselves, and the online space is the perfect way to be able to do it, but confidence and the "know-how" stops them... and that is where we come in. I also met my Fiancee on Cruise Ships, who is Italian, and we are getting married in May 2023. One of the best things about my business now is I can travel anywhere with him at any time and take my business with me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My Biggest accomplishment is the work I have done on myself and the transformation that has happened as a by-product of pushing myself out of my comfort Zone on a daily basis, doing the things that scare me, and working on myself every day to show up better for my clients and my team.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I am someone who has to be all in with everything I do, and sometimes it can be hard to switch off and be present at the moment, particularly when most of your business is done on your phone; it is very easy to be available at all times and not know when to put your phone down. I have learned how important it is to have boundaries with your clients and your team but also with yourself. As a business owner, you need to fill yourself back up and have the downtime to be able to show up as your best self.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get comfortable being uncomfortable; there are going to be times when you don't want to do something because it is scary or you have self-doubt, but the reality is you will never feel ready. Discomfort will always be there. But the saying "the magic happens outside your comfort zone" is something I always live by.
  2. Be aware of your Environment - Surround yourself with like-minded people who are going where you are going, people who inspire you, and people who are already where you want to be. "Your network is your net worth" If you don't have that right now, you can join communities online and go to networking meetings or retreats.
  3. Invest in yourself - Doing the work on yourself will be your biggest payoff, not just in business but in every area of your life. Take the time to learn more about yourself, your limiting beliefs, and things that hold you back, and read up on how you can overcome them. Invest in a coach or a mentor who may be able to help you identify things that are holding you back. This, for me personally, is when I have seen the biggest transformations.
