Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Pamela Wirth, Founder, and CEO of Hello Health, located in Scottsdale, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

One in every eight people is diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, and 1 in every 50 is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Sometimes people are diagnosed with both. Hello Health aims to help those affected with a community and platform of products, services, and experts catering to integrative health – both children and adults to find the root rather than solely treating the symptoms. Learn more about new research and products at www.hello.health. Please follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube as we launch new products and services.

Tell us about yourself

Hello Health was born out of my own need to save my son from the immediate onset of motor, vocal, and mood changes and subsequent diagnoses of autism and autoimmune, which I felt needed more testing and analysis to find the root of the symptoms. I am motivated every day when speaking with people and doctors, and experts as we are learning quickly and with more technology at lower costs how to empower and encourage and control our health and wellness.

Many of these great stories are shared on the enCOURAGEing wellness podcast, as well as testimonials and videos on www.hello.health and Hello Health’s YouTube channel.  I’m soon launching a second book with even more doctor-led research and information.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment has been receiving so many incredible testimonials from people that ask about the Hello Health protocol, follow it and then report back on the impact it has had on their or a family member’s life. The most incredible was a non-verbal child who is now talking.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing for me as a business owner is finding faith in myself to fight through the hard days alone. To date, I have bootstrapped the business myself, yet I am open to finding a Co-Founder and/or collaborators that share the mission of helping empower others and encouraging wellness.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

It is tough to narrow down to just three tips. For me, three things include:

  1. Driving mental self-care. Getting up early every morning to meditate and exercise provides solid positive energy for the day.
  2. Reinforcing the goal at hand. Having reminders or sticky notes in places that you often see, such as a bathroom mirror, to remind yourself of your goals.
  3. Asking for help. I ask everyone I can for their input or if they know anyone that does XYZ. Many times that leads to introductory emails, texts, and phone calls, and I take every single one of them as you never know what gems are right around the corner.
