What's your business, and who are your customers?

I’m an entrepreneur who helps businesses build more credibility through coaching, marketing, branding, and PR. I also own an online clothing boutique called, Posh Boss LA that is for female entrepreneurs & go-getters.

Tell us about yourself

I’m a lifelong entrepreneur. My first job was at nine, and by the time I was 13, I was lying about my age to get hired at retail stores. I love the freedom that comes with being an entrepreneur. I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. I’m motivated by knowing I’m in charge of my own destiny.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is juggling multiple businesses at once.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

There are a lot of hard things, but something I’m not a big fan of is when someone insists on trying to schedule an in-person meeting in LA when it could be a 15min call instead.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. You don’t need college. You just need the right education, and that can be found online through courses and or mentors.
  2. Stick to what you’re great at. Never start a business just because you think you can make money from it. If you don’t have a passion for what you’re selling, the business has a higher chance of failing.
  3. Focus on building a solid brand and narrowing down your niche for a specific group of customers. Not everyone can be your customer, so focus on the smaller group that can be.
  4. Don’t skip social media. Instagram is like the new version of your business card. People will go there to read reviews and see your content. It’s also a great way for your business to start showing up on Google when you’re first starting out.
