Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lisa Faremouth (Sat Inder Kaur), Owner of Heaven Meets Earth, located in Evanston, IL, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am in the conscious business of changing lives through the medicine of yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and lifestyle. I established Heaven Meets Earth Yoga Community 18 years ago following the death of 5 family members and my Golden Retriever.
Tell us about yourself
I was compelled, inspired, and divinely guided to open Heaven Meets Earth. Before that, I had leadership roles in other mind/body spaces, traveled internationally, training mind/body fitness leaders, produced videos and films, and authored a book called Flatten Your Stomach. My motivation has always been from a higher source and from my personal healing journey. Helping others is the path toward liberation and bliss.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Surviving COVID and watching people transform their lives.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Effort, sacrifice, and time.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Come from love, and everyone will flourish.
- Have enough money to survive for 3-5 years without profit.
- Pivot when needed. Re-commit to your business yearly and do whatever it takes to succeed without the laws of good intentions and character.
