Tell us about yourself

I am an accomplished HR director, consultant, and business partner with years of experience in tech start-ups. I was first introduced to my love of HR as a Business Operations Manager. As part of my role, I enjoyed serving and supporting the employees of the organization.

I started my business during the pandemic in June 2020. My passion for leading and being a proactive change agent with the ability to create high engagement and performance to achieve organizational goals and objectives is what motivates me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is stepping out of faith to start my business during a pandemic. I joined a CEO cohort to help me understand how to transition my mindset from employee to business owner. I continue to learn every day and take the steps to achieve new accomplishments.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes from being a business owner is risks and responsibilities. As a business owner, you are responsible for all of the decision-making, and it is important to know your risk tolerance. However, if you do not take risks, you will never know your fullest potential.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. It is ok to move forward, afraid. Do not let fear stop your progress.
  2. You do not have to know all of the answers. Learn from your experiences.
  3. Be sure to create boundaries and make time for self-care. It is important to guard your peace and recharge your batteries.
