Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with David King, Founder of Healthy Wild Free, located in Petoskey, MI, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I run a health and wellness education company that focuses on teaching people the connection between emotional health and physical health. We also educate on lymphatic health, sleep health, nutrition, biohacking techniques for improving energy levels, and more! Our ideal customer is someone who is struggling emotionally and with making healthy decisions.
Tell us about yourself
I had a very difficult time finding my way in life, dealing with toxic relationships, trauma, and abuse, yet still knowing I wanted to live a healthy, balanced and stable life. I'm motivated to support people who are where I once was. Suffering is a choice. We do not need to suffer endlessly and helplessly. We can choose to take action in a positive direction each and every single day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to reach millions of people with my content (articles and videos) is my biggest professional achievement.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Consistently putting in the work and finding new and creative ways to communicate the value of engaging in emotional health, which is generally something that most people (especially men) don't really want to discuss.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Create content often and post frequently.
- Stay engaged on social media.
- Follow mentors and guides such as Valuetainment, Impact Theory, The School Of Greatness, Ed Mylett, etc.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Healing from past trauma is possible. There's no need to let the trauma of one experience or a few experiences alter your life forever.
You can get through and past these events and live a healthy, happy, productive life full of purpose.
