What's your business, and who are your customers?

I work with women 18 - 80 years old struggling with autoimmune diseases, chronic illness, and pain symptoms. I help them feel better and heal by teaching them about the root causes of symptoms, equipping them with the right foods and supplements, and empowering them with their faith to take back their health.

Tell us about yourself

I was sitting in my car outside the doctor's office, exhausted. I was near tears because (once again) the doctor had no answers. In just 10 minutes, the doctor looked at my chart, gave me a quick diagnosis, and sent me away with pills to treat my symptoms. I thought, "That's it? I'm just going to be sick for the rest of my life. And the only answer is pills?" I was, confused, overwhelmed, and scared. Not good enough, I thought. I decided to take matters into my own hands. I thought, "I know! I'll ask Dr. Google; he will know what to do!" I was so desperate that I spent over 2000 hours looking for answers and became the expert I needed for ME! After all this research, I discovered that food was the answer to healing and putting what I learned into practice. What happened in the next few months was nothing short of a miracle. I went from being exhausted to waking up feeling better than I had in years. I went from having no answers to having a clear plan that was actually giving me results. I went from managing my symptoms with medications to healing my symptoms through food. I got my life back. And now, I am on a mission to help other women around the world, just like me, who want to heal and feel better.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Let me answer this by starting with my father. My father had rheumatoid arthritis for 47 years. Ten years ago, after watching my father suffer for 37 years with debilitating pain and fatigue, I started talking to him about creating a food and supplement plan to reverse his symptoms. At this point, he had tried just about everything to get better. He didn't really buy into what I was sharing with him. He did not think it would work. He agreed to take the supplements I recommended, but he said he just couldn't change his diet. After 10 long years of working with my father on dialing in his food, his supplements, and detoxification, I am happy to share that he is practically pain-free today, able to move, work out and live a normal life that he couldn't do for almost 40 years. It's my biggest accomplishment because I was able to take my expertise to help my dad heal. But it's also my biggest accomplishment because I have been able to take the things I did with my father and use them to help 10,000 people to reverse symptoms of illness and feel better.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

In the business I am in, one of the hardest parts is with every new client; they are coming to me with their pain, anger, frustration, and suffering. It is really hard. It is hard for me to see how much they have struggled for so long without answers. I realize its the just the tip of the iceberg. The hardest thing is that I cannot serve every single human being suffering in the world right now. But I tell you what - every day, I am building my business, every day, I am growing my capacity, and every day I prepare to help more and more people. The medical system out there is not working for chronic illness; it's not helping people heal. And I am not going to quit until I have helped every person I possibly can.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

I'm in the business of helping people feel better. So what I would want everyone to know is that whether you have one chronic symptom or 50, there is information and power available to you that will let you turn these symptoms around to feel better, to heal. As entrepreneurs or business owners, we often end up stressed and exhausted trying to make money and make a difference, which can take a toll on our health. You don't have to be an exhausted business owner. There are answers, there are solutions, you can still do all the things, you can work hard, you can hustle, AND you can be healthy while you do it. You don't have to sacrifice feeling good. If your health isn't great, it can be better. There are solutions. Yes, I help practitioners learn how to be better at getting people healthy, but every day, I also help people learn how to get themselves healthy and live a life they love. So if I have to narrow it down to the top three things: Your business can't be healthy if you're not healthy, so you have to make time for your health. Your business cannot grow if you don't grow, and you need to keep opening your mind to new ways to solve problems, and it starts with you. To be able to heal yourself beyond what the medical system is telling you, you have to keep an open mind and be willing to keep learning. Making space in your calendar. When you make space in your calendar to breathe, rest, and take care of yourself, you open yourself up to more possibilities. This is essential to create growth and foster new ideas in your business.
