What's your business, and who are your customers?

An Online Holistic Health and Fitness Program - we help active adults dealing with lingering injuries and pain truly heal and gain complete control over their fitness and longevity without more treatments, therapies, or surgeries.

Tell us about yourself

About 12 years ago, I went through my own holistic health and fitness journey. I had been dealing with a barrage of injuries and chronic pain in my ankles, knees, hips, back, and neck for eight straight years. What was worse was that I was doing every treatment, technique, and therapy I could get my hands on, but all of them felt like I was just symptom-chasing. I would feel better for a day, a week, or a month, to then re-aggravate a lingering injury or tweak something new in my body. To finally solve the root causes of what was going on, I ended up taking a ground-up approach in addressing my subtle compensations and imbalances that occurred over the years… and over a few months, I was able to re-teach my body how to move back to full ranges of stable motion, heal and get back to the level of fitness with activities I desired. Since then, my team of licensed physical therapists, corrective exercise specialists, and movement and nutrition coaches (all going through similar journeys with lingering injuries) have passionately served our clients to take the holistic approaches necessary to achieve lasting health and fitness dreams.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Over the last four years, we've worked with hundreds and hundreds of clients wanting to heal injuries and pains that they've often been dealing with for decades that have prevented them from being able to enjoy their favorite activities in life. And we've had the privilege of having over a 98% success rate by teaching them how to finally solve the root causes of what's going on and progress back to the levels of functional fitness they need to enjoy the abundant lives they want to live.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Personally, it has been learning to market effectively as a small business online. I've always loved everything about health and fitness, and working with people on their goals gets me out of bed in the morning with joy. But growing to accept and ultimately enjoy things like social media marketing was a bit of a learning curve…

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a specific strategy for where you are going to get your ideal clients from. Investing in business coaching programs to learn already proven strategies for marketing and sales has been invaluable for us.
  2. If you love reading or listening to books, invest in highly recommended books or audiobooks on the topics of your business you need help with most (social media, marketing, online advertising, sales, copywriting, business growth strategies, etc.). Then read or listen to those books several times over, actually do the recommended work they give you, role-play out their recommended scripts, and keep working on re-working these strategies over and over again until you fine-tune them to your business perfectly.
  3. Cultivate a daily mental, emotional, and/or spiritual practice that resonates with you. Having a growth mindset while starting a business to motivate us through the grind of problem-solving, testing, and learning all the necessary aspects of the business (especially the ones we don't particularly enjoy), is one of the most important things I could recommend.
