Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jennifer Tabrizi, founder of Healing With Jennifer, located in Grimsby, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run an online coaching business helping woman with confidence issues. I help them build strength with a hybrid system approach. We focus on physical (weight training and yoga), mental, and emotional strength as a whole. This helps them unlock their true potential so that they can show up in their lives as the best version of themselves.

When working with clients I teach them how to take their healing journey to the next level. We do this by improving their sleep quality, and increasing their ability to handle stress. Clients learn how to work through challenging emotions and emotional blocks. We also focus on eating the right foods for their body type so that they feel amazing in their skin!

Tell us about yourself

Years ago I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I got extremely sick and was even at risk for getting my colon removed. This experience lead me to start my personal healing journey. I was able to turn this situation around by taking better care of my physical, mental, and emotional health.

This experience sparked a drive within myself to help others on their healing journey. My goal is to share what I've learned so that my clients reach their goals faster by not making the same mistakes I did!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

For a long time I held myself back through feelings and thoughts of self-doubt. I was working for others, and I felt like my business was working against me rather than for me. Taking the leap from the corporate word and trusting in myself to succeed on my own has been by far my biggest accomplishment. This has allowed me to create a business that supports me in ways I didn't know were possible!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Learning when to be "on" in my business, and knowing when to be "off". I struggle with always wanting to accomplish as much as possible. This just simply isn't sustainable. I'm currently working on finding the balance between action and down time!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. If you have the drive to start your business, get out if your head and into action. Trust your intuition and trust in your abilities

2. Ensure you have a support group of like-minded individuals. This will help you grow and expand in ways you never thought possible

3. Embrace the challenges you face along the way. These will end up being your biggest lessons in the future

Anything else you'd like to share?

It's easy to get in your own way and forget how much is truly possible. Get out of your own way and take action! You'll be so glad you did.
