What's your business, and who are your customers?

Healbright provides mental wellness video programs to a variety of healthcare platforms. We help EAPs, corporate wellness companies, and other healthcare organizations expand their offerings to include mental and behavioral health.

Tell us about yourself

Before starting Healbright, I worked as a psychotherapist. I also studied Buddhist Psychology in Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, and the US. I have always been passionate about making practices from Western and Buddhist Psychology more accessible.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Healbright's biggest accomplishment is bringing our programs to people who previously did not have access to mental health resources.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Navigating the high levels of stress has been challenging. After experiencing burnout, I made changes to reduce hours, have better boundaries, and outsource as much as possible.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Minimize your risk.
  2. Use the lean startup method to test which products your customers want and which sales channels are most effective.
  3. Trust your gut.
