What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help people who are ready to up-level their lives and step into their highest timeline. I do this by helping them heal on all levels - body, mind, and soul - using Reiki, Sound Healing, and a background in Psychology. This combination helps get to the root (through the subconscious) and re-program the unhelpful programs that keep people in the same cycles. We go through life and endure A LOT (stress, trauma, etc.). This creates an imbalance in our bodies, which leads to blocks in our energy flow. These blocks are amplified when we hold onto past situations and beliefs. When we do this, they begin to manifest in our physical realities as body aches, low energy, weight gain, sickness, etc. By moving the energy, we remove the blocks. The intention is to empower people, expand their consciousness and restore their life energy - bringing them back to who they really are.
Tell us about yourself
Reiki and Sound Healing kind of found me. It kept following me (I was hearing about it everywhere I went, I would have dreams about it, and I met people who were experienced in it before I even knew what it was until I eventually listened and learned it myself). I first heard about Reiki through a friend who offered to guide me in a reiki-infused meditation. I had no idea what it was, but I was open to trying. She led a group of us through a guided meditation and sent us all Reiki at the end (this was over the phone, by the way - no video either - she was in California, and I was in Canada). When she sent the Reiki, I felt my hands immediately get SO hot, it felt like they were on fire, but it felt peaceful (The feeling is something that can't be explained with words). I asked her about it after, and she told me some people are born with "healing hands," as her Reiki Master referred to it. I took that as a sign to learn more. I eventually found a shaman to certify me and incorporated Sound Healing because music is my first love, and it only made sense. My favourite way to describe what motivates me is, "All of us are positioned to be the most powerful serving the person we once were."
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As someone who is a baby at this, I just fully leaped into my business one month ago. So THAT is definitely my biggest accomplishment - DOING the thing and taking the risk, and going after a life that I'm in love with.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Stepping past the FEAR and trusting yourself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn about yourself - what do you need to stay motivated? Create a plan for yourself and be prepared (as prepared as you can be).
- Find a mentor - someone who is doing what your doing (or similar to what you're doing) who you can learn from. And ask them a lot of questions. On top of that, find some people who you may not know personally that are where you want to be and let yourself be shown that it IS possible.
