Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in clothing line but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Denise Reddy, founder of Harebell Sustainable Shop, located in Glendale, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I try to inspire everyone I meet personally and online and found a way to do so through Sustainable Fashion. I love to share my eco knowledge and bring sustainable Latin American brands to the American customer.

Tell us about yourself

I see myself as a citizen of the world, but I was born and raised in Argentina, and as a Latin American, I’m honored to represent designers from my region here. When growing up, I spent all my summers with no electricity in the middle of nature. Living in the middle of the mountains at such an early age created a deep awareness and appreciation. I understand what it means to take care of nature’s cycles, how everything affects everything, circularity and no harm are a must in my life. Harebell helped me spread the word and opened a window for me to add my little grain of hope.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Well… for me helping my fellow Latinxs have more sales. It’s priceless to add new brands to harebell and help them grow too.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

For me, tough decisions. Growing and constant change imply letting people and business go. And that’s part of life, but it comes with some bitter moments as well.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Trust trust trust trust!
  2. Be flexible! Rigidity will only get you headache.
  3. Enjoy every moment!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Every little step counts, and being imperfectly perfect is the way!
