What's your business, and who are your customers?

Hana Holistic Medical Center is a place where Western and Eastern medicine coalesce. You can use your medical insurance to seek primary medical care and, when covered, acupuncture. You can also be part of wellness programs, where passionate instructors and dedicated therapists bring you classes and workshops. Our classes vary from personalized yoga, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi as well as Feldenkrias Movements and fitness advice. We welcome any person over 18 interested in being under our care.

Tell us about yourself

I, Dr. Anas Hana, have combined my expertise in Western medicine with my love and knowledge of Classical Chinese Medicine, Asian Bodywork, and acupuncture to create Hana Holistic Medical Center. It grew from my passion for medicine and my desire to share my experience with the community, and my dream for integrative medicine to become the mainstream for health care.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing a dream materialize and becoming a reality and bringing an opportunity for everyone interested in investing in their health to find a partner they can trust at Hana Holistic Medical Center.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As any business owner, the most challenging aspect of the work, I believe, is managing the logistic of running a business in relation to handling its daily operation needs and the constant effort in building a trustworthy, reliable, caring team.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

First, start with a clear vision of what are the gifts that define you and that you like to share. Second, plan your business structure with a focus on obtaining the resources that you need. Finally, know your clients and reach directly to them; know where they are and listen to their needs. They will always be your best assets.
