What's your business, and who are your customers?
In a time when trustworthy agencies are few and far between, Hammerhead is one of the few digital agencies that is passionate about its client's success. We work with clients who believe in what they do because when you combine expertise and passion with purpose, success is inevitable.
Tell us about yourself
We started Hammerhead because we were frustrated with the limitations of large-scale web development agencies and the practices of small-scale agencies that outsource development work. Somewhere in the middle had to exist a boutique agency that provided sound development and high-level customer service. We created Hammerhead with this in mind. We are motivated by our client's success. Each new project is an exciting challenge.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our growth through word-of-mouth. Referrals are our most-effective sales tool. We have managed to capture some wonderful clients through referrals. It's a testament to our process and an indicator that we continue to produce a high level of service for our clients.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Uncertainty. Pandemics, recessions, sudden change. These are the things that you can't always prepare for. The last few years have taught us to stay light on our feet and move with the flow.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
As an owner, you have to be willing to put in the time. No one is going to grow your business for you. If you're not willing to go that extra mile for yourself and your team, you will fail. It's up to you. Good luck.
