What's your business, and who are your customers?
Small group personal training studio. A majority of our clients are between 40-65, but we have all ages, genders, and fitness levels.
Tell us about yourself
As an athlete, I fell in love with working out in high school as a way you could not only change your body but improve performance. I start helping design workouts not just for myself but for my friends and family. It is cliche, but the best part of what I do is seeing the changes people can have when they commit to a healthy lifestyle. We have seen clients drop 50, 75, and 100+ pounds and really change their lives.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of my biggest accomplishments is opening a second location and creating the same amazing level of service and experience as we did at our original location.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Everything falls on you. Staff is out; you might have to cover for them. If something breaks down, it's up to you to get it fixed.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be passionate about what you do. Because when you are, it makes it easier to deal with the challenges that will come your way. Plus, customers can tell if you truly love what you do.
- It's all about your team. The only way you can grow your business is with a strong team. You need to hire quality people, onboard them and keep them accountable.
- Celebrate the wins, but never be satisfied!
