What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are all about THE STUDY OF TASTE and exploring what the best is, how we taste and why, and all the various aspects that go along with this.

Tell us about yourself

I love clean, delicious food. As a child, I was fortunate to grow up with a family embedded in European traditions. A great pleasure is to share this journey with others around me. And I enjoy playing with food, tasting it, and responding to it.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have not been on my own long, so that leap from working with others to completely going on my own with Gustologia has been challenging and, at times, exhausting but also very liberating.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Making sure that everything is as polished and professional as possible.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't go into business for purely monetary reasons; it won't work. Better to have a passion and go from there.
  2. Seek out a mentor who can fast-track you with some lessons learned.
  3. Make sure you have cash flow; you'll need it eventually to grow.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Get out of your office, leave the computer, and see the real world. You will be inspired and refreshed by nature and the ideas of others.
