Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in marketing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Natalia Gomez Maganda Pineda, Founder of Green Studio Marketing, located in Metepec, Mexico.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Green Studio, we help mindful brands and conscious creatives with website design and copywriting, or what I call magical storytelling. We care about creating sustainable and evergreen marketing strategies for our clients, which involve SEO and email marketing as well.

Tell us about yourself

It all started when I had a sustainable fashion blog that pushed me to start connecting with mindful brands shortly after I decided to offer professional services for conscious brands to help them build their online presence, and ever since, I have enjoyed bringing life to new websites that express a brand's personality and purpose or writing copy that speaks to conscious consumers.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

After starting my online business, I was very scared about quitting my full-time job. However, I've learned that you really can achieve anything you want if you work hard for it, and I'm proud to say Green Studio has been a stable income for me in the past two years, and it allowed me to double my income and quit my full-time job.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Imposter syndrome and the fear of pricing your services right. I've learned the hard way that selling with confidence makes all the difference in building a sustainable price strategy that allows you to subcontract and delegate.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Believe in your product/service and the value you provide to the world for setting your prices.
  2. Focus on the big picture and turn scary goals into achievable milestones to take things one day at a time.
  3. Don't let social media algorithms dictate your content marketing strategy; your content should always be an extension of your brand values, and social media or other channels are just a tactic/way to spread your message.
