Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in marketing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Sabrina Tabler, Founder and Owner of Grayce Consulting, located in Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help Christian Life/Wellness/Career Coaches that have a love/hate relationship with social media and online marketing. They are in the start-up phase or early stages of their business and feel drowned in a sea of marketing options and directions. They are extremely passionate about what they do but lack the time, desire, and expertise to dedicate to marketing their business online. They crave alignment, consistency, simplicity, and manageability in their online presence.

I remove the online marketing burden for Christian Life/Wellness/Career Coaches by helping them implement simple, repeatable online marketing strategies so that they can feel confident and proud of their marketing and stay focused on what they love to do while their sales skyrocket.

Tell us about yourself

I love when people feel great and are proud of their businesses. I absolutely love when their time is freed up for other things in their business because we have partnered together. I believe wholeheartedly that everyone’s God-given talents should be passionately shouted from the rooftops and shared with the world!

I create with a unique lens that pushes traditional marketing boundaries. I love to dream alongside my clients. My calling is to provide genuine, heartfelt brand inspiration that is authentically YOU, allowing YOUR best light to shine through. I am happiest when my clients are out there crushing it - I thrive when they thrive!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is to have just taken the leap to start! I feel quite well set up after only one year, I have served 30 clients within the last year, and 10 are long-term contracts.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is having to do ALL the things yourself if you are a solopreneur. You have to be the bookkeeper, the marketing department, sales, and admin, all on top of actually DOING the consulting and helping clients. Finding time for it all can be super challenging.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Hire a business coach.
  2. Outsource the areas in your business that are not your strong areas (financial, marketing, branding, etc.)
  3. Set yourself up with really great project/task management from the start - expect huge growth and plan FOR it.
