What's your business, and who are your customers?

Artist designing one-of-a-kind custom-minted coins for military units, police and fire departments, Local, state, and federal government agencies, businesses, clubs, and organizations. We even design custom coins for social media influencers!

Tell us about yourself

I've been designing custom "challenge coins" since 1995. While in the military with the 193d Special Operations Wing, I cross-trained out of Security Police and into Graphic Arts in the mid-1990s, and I've been designing ever since.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

2 patents and raising $80,500 for the American Red Cross.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Giving up control of things that you've been doing yourself since the beginning. Balancing personal time and work time and constantly looking for the NEXT order. There's always SOMETHING that needs to be done.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Put 100% into yourself and your business.
  2. Move the ball forward each day and look for opportunities to monetize any potential revenue streams.
  3. Don't give up.
