Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Adrian Bonner, Founder of Good Growth Vibes, located in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is about helping people use their time more effectively to perform at a higher level, have more energy, and ultimately increase productivity. These ideas and tips can be used for students looking to use their time better, so they still enjoy student life while not forgetting the student part. Or those individuals are looking to start a side hustle on top of an already busy working life. And those already in business that value their time. The goal for everyone should be to have plenty of time to enjoy the life part of life while working towards those small and larger goals.

Tell us about yourself

I've worked in the fitness industry for over 25 years, helping individuals and groups work towards their health and fitness goals, and the lessons learned applied to all areas of life. It's about making time for what's important in life. Being healthy so you have the energy to go after what you want in life, and this is the same approach I use in my day to day. Whether I am exercising for a future event (I race in duathlons and have competed for the Team GB Age group since 2016) or I am working on new material, do things that you love because it is much easier in the hard times to keep working on your goals and this is what I love doing. Helping people in any way I can.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Whenever you help someone find a solution to something, it's always good to see anyone progress onwards and overcome obstacles and challenges. Life is full of ups and downs, and it's great to have feedback from those that I have helped.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Sometimes it's the distractions that are all around us each day. It's easy to let yourself procrastinate, so I have to remind myself what I want to get finished each day and tick each item off my to-do list.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find something that you love to do because when times are hard, it is much easier to keep going.
  2. Get up in the morning knowing that something great is going to happen in the future, that you are working on things that will inspire people.
  3. Do not be afraid to fail or make mistakes. If you are starting something new, then there will be mistakes or failures along the way; just remember to acknowledge them and act on them quickly. It's a learning curve where you grow your skillset, knowledge, and as a person.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Do not let fear hold you back; if it's important enough, then you do in spite of the fear. Find what you love to do and focus your time and energy on doing it.
