What's your business, and who are your customers?

GoMe.ai provides a mobile AI/Machine Learning leadership coaching platform called CI Coach. We truly democratize coaching from experienced executive coaches by using our AI platform to personalize leadership development and coaching to all levels in an organization. Our motto is "coaching for all, anywhere, anytime."

Each user develops their own profile using proprietary assessment tools, then curates coaching content for thousands of management and leadership challenges. CI Coach can also participate in online and mixed attendance meetings (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.) to give each participant coaching on their meeting effectiveness. Our customers are all organizational members who, for cost or scalability challenges, do not have access to a live coach.

Tell us about yourself

We started this business over three years ago after observing the need for ongoing coaching for all managers and leaders, but they lacked access due to the high cost of live coaches and lack of their scalability. Truly democratizing coaching will fulfill our organizational purpose of "Inspiring leaders through learning and growth to build Thriving teams and organizations."

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Purchase and transformation of the global leadership and culture consultancy of Senn Delaney to successfully transform thousands of organizational leaders and cultures within hundreds of Fortune 2000 companies. Following 12 years as CEO of Senn Delaney, we engineered an all-cash sale at industry-leading multiples.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Making sure you don't fall in love with your idea or product without extensive client feedback. Developing a compelling purpose for you personally (the why you exist) and for your organization that all can align to and support.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Does your business have a compelling purpose? (beyond making money)
  2. Cash is King. (use it wisely)
  3. Attract, develop and nurture great talent around you, then listen to them.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Starting and running a new business as an entrepreneur requires three integrated mindsets. Purpose, Growth, and Vitality are foundational mindsets that all entrepreneurs must develop and engage their teams in the entrepreneurial venture. Share credit for successes and take accountability for failures as the leader. Be aware of the leadership shadow you are casting every day.
