What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is simply God's business. I take the gifts and abilities that God gave me and apply them. My customers are any and everyone who loves to eat. I don't have a specific audience.
Tell us about yourself
Well, for starters, my name is Ahmard Neely. I'm 31 years of age and born and raised in West Point, MS. What started me was the fact that I knew what I had when I used to work at jobs and felt like I was not getting what I deserved, so I decided to go out on faith and try it for myself. It has not been an easy road but what motivates me to keep going is the people that I come in contact with. The people are what keep me going and motivated always.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is simply being recognized for what I do and for what I have to offer. I'm highly trained and bring a lot to the table, so just being recognized is an accomplishment for me or has been an accomplishment for me.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things is trying to please each and everyone every single time. It's so hard to do because it can't be done.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Have Faith. The good book said Faith without works is dead. So you have to have Faith no matter what you do, but this would be the first on my advice. Secondly, trust yourself. If you put your mind to anything, you can do it. With God, all things are possible.
Last but not least, stay consistent. You have to continue to put in the work even when you are not working. For example, as I'm writing this, I'm working on invoices and setting dates. It's important that you stay consistent.
