What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a consulting business for small companies and entrepreneurs who want to either start their own businesses or increase sales and revenues. My customers are business owners and entrepreneurs.
Tell us about yourself
My company has existed for almost 15 years now. I started my business to help other entrepreneurs get started with their businesses easily so they can achieve their goals. What motivates me every day is to see that my client's business is improving and thriving and that the feedback I receive is positive.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My business has been operating for over 15 years, we have helped over 1000 businesses and entrepreneurs, and I have managed through my business to support my family with respect and be satisfied with my client's successes.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The fact that you as a business owner must take care of yourself all the time... there is no stability like salaried employees. As a business owner, you must always be attentive to your customers, your competitors, and the market in which you operate. It's hard not to take your foot off the gas... it's not easy...
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Choose to work or start a business in a field you like and connect with. This is very important.
- Before you open the business, it is very important to make an organized business plan that will include a market test, a competitor survey, a financial test, and more.
- After opening the business, it is very important to surround yourself with good professionals, an accountant, a lawyer, a website builder, etc... Good and reliable professionals will also become your partners over the years.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
If you have a dream to be independent, or to start your own business, don't be afraid to do it.
From personal experience, there are, of course, costs and declines over the years; not everything is easy and works smoothly, but... it is definitely rewarding to be a business owner and your own boss, both on a personal and financial level.
Don't be afraid to fulfill your dream; at least try...
