What's your business, and who are your customers?

There are 40 million Americans with diabetes, and we are the only company with a wearable solution to the most common emergency. Tell us about yourself

Three events led me to start a business. Working as a diabetic firefighter/EMT, I lost my job for two years because I experienced low blood sugar, and I wanted to make sure this didn’t happen to anyone else. Number 2, I woke up to an ambulance crew administering glucose gel on my gums, and number 3, we found out our son will be a diabetic too.

I want to provide the best tool available with the fastest glucose available to ensure every person with diabetes is safe. When we found out other gels have additives that slows the absorption down, we created our own and placed it in a necklace. We placed it in a necklace because when this emergency happens, both the people with diabetes thinking slows down and while family members brain panics, so the solution becomes easy to find in a critical moment of time.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

When people with diabetes email us about saving their lives!!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Supply problems, causing us to run out of products, which lets our customers down.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Love what you do, keep the customer as the priority, and learn how to deviate.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

People with diabetes are the greatest fighters; we just want to make it that much easier for them!!
