Tell us about yourself
I arrived in New York 28 years ago and worked my way up from server, bartender, and manager to finally owning. My kids motivate me every day, as well as creating and keeping jobs available for many staff members whom I now call family.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Opening a restaurant and having a baby on the same day :)
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being unable to switch off.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be patient; growing a business takes years. Understand there will be a lot of sacrifices but also rewards, surround yourself with great people, and keep smiling even when things are rough.
