What's your business, and who are your customers?
I hand-pour candles, whip body butter, and hand-pour soap in my business. My primary focus is on "clean" and natural-based products with fewer chemicals. My business takes pride in offering strong room-filled scent throws. My customers are those that appreciate a professional look but also candles that have long-lasting scents and products with great benefits. I will customize any product with scents, colors, and sizes. Customers can decide how they want their candles, body butter, or soap.
Tell us about yourself
I first got started after having an injury that did not allow me to walk any longer. I was not sure how to function in everyday life, so I decided to begin making decorative vases, bowls, candles, and body butter. This was only to give gifts for the holiday, but the response was so overwhelming of those wanting to purchase the products that I decided to open a business and give it a shot at success. I am motivated by all who I cross paths with and provide inspiration for me to grow in this industry and throughout life. I most enjoy the positive feedback and excitement from my customers.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to produce and sell my products with natural ingredients and connect with my customers.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is finding enough time to execute ideas. There are so many innovative thoughts and ideas, and deciding which ones to move forward with can be challenging.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
