What's your business, and who are your customers?
Grace Kingdom Beauty is a consulting firm that engages in Cosmetic Product Development From Concept To Launch, Including Formulation. Customers are beauty professionals or beauty enthusiasts who want to start their own brand so they can either have a second source of income or leave a legacy.
Tell us about yourself
I wanted to be in the beauty industry at a very young age. At first, I wanted to be a makeup artist because I saw the power of instant transformation. However, due to my cultural expectation, if I don't get a phD, I at least get a master's degree, so I majored in Chemistry and learned how to make beauty products. What motivates me every day is I truly love what I do to make this world a more beautiful place by helping people's appearance with the best products possible.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have helped many beauty brands with award-winning products. I also launched my own brand in 2020, so I can walk the talk to help people further after they launch the products with me.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Allocation of time because we all have the same 24 hours, so staying focused on the priority list and getting the lowest-hanging fruits will be key.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be certain about your WHY. If you don't know why you are in it, once you hit obstacles, you are more likely to quit, but if you do know your WHY, let your WHY be your guiding star.
- Make sure you have your brand name trademarked, as the worst thing you want is to spend a lot of money and resources, and you can not use the name due to trademark issues.
- Have mentors. No one can do it alone. With people who can hold you accountable and a support system, you are more likely to succeed.
