Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Gina Ballard, Founder of Gina Nicole, located in Webster Groes, MO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am devoted to supporting multi-passionate entrepreneurs and highly sensitive and creative leaders to align their vision and embody their light. I aim to inspire more business owners to orient their mind, body, spirit, and home to enter higher frequencies and make intuitive decisions that are impeccably clean and guide those experiencing obstacles to commit to a better relationship with themselves, their environment, and their spirit. They will embody their souls' mission.

Tell us about yourself

When I was in my mid-20s, I hit rock bottom moment going into a difficult Saturn return. My body was physically suffering from experiencing symptoms of PCOS, hormone imbalance, and autoimmune. I was leaping out of a gut-draining career and processing a devastating divorce. Nothing traditional worked for me despite my multiple doctor and therapy visits. I finally found Feng Shui, acupuncture, then eventually, subtle energy medicine. Everything changed. My body healed, I found a wonderful job, and I eventually found myself in a new healthy marriage.

Now I dedicate my life to helping others with similar transformations. I am committed to working in a place of integrity and devotion, but I also love to have fun as I aim to empower others to live every day full on purpose and in the embodiment. I was trained as a Feng Shui Practitioner at the BTB School of Feng Shui and certified through the Feng Shui Interior Design program at the New York Institute of Art and Design. I am a Subtle Energy Medicine Practitioner via Cyndi Dale, a Certified Intuitive Counselor ™, Energy Codes Coach, and Embodiment Coach, and I have completed medical intuition training.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Starting out, I was so intimidated by the idea of being able to create a life I love and paying myself while helping people to transform and thrive. I have had many people in my comment (almost out of concern) question how I would be able to sustain doing this. Ten years in, and I am not only doing it but doing it well. I have remained integrity, always do what I say I am going to do, and I have fun doing it!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I don't think that everybody is necessarily born to be an entrepreneur or own their own business. That is a part of what my whole mission is, which is to help people align with what they were truly born to do. I believe that I am in that, and therefore, I don't find much to be tough about it. It truly flows easily for me! That being said, aside from bookkeeping which I don't love (I have learned to hire that out), I think the biggest challenge was to actually start, take the leap, follow the fear, and actually do it. After I took the initial intentional-based action, the rest became very easy. I also see clients from time to time who are business owners who have a difficult time following their own intuition. That's what I love about combining business and intuition because when we do that, true miracles happen!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Focus on helping (at least) one single person every day, and ask yourself each morning, "How can I help someone today?" Stick to that, and the rest unfolds.
  2. Don't worry about what is not in front of you.
  3. Know how you like to learn and get a mentor accordingly. I took many courses starting out, and eventually, when I could afford to, I hired coaching and mentors. I have found ease in navigating a business when I have had help from someone who has gone before me.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

We can all realize our full potential by taking control of our consciousness. When we take steps to do that, create space for ourselves, say no when necessary, and always trust what our bodies are telling us to do --- life can be so much more enjoyable!
