What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a candy company owned and operated by special needs individuals. We specialize in unique candy and shipping in clear boxes with all your yummy treats on display.
Tell us about yourself
Many families of special needs individuals are frustrated by the lack of fulfilling employment opportunities available and have turned to open their own small businesses. We love working together as a family and providing a safe and fun place for other developmentally disabled people.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We live and work for moments that make people feel good at our 1st and 4th of July fair. One of our employees, Nicole, made a sale, and she looked at our mom and said I just sold that backpack and candy. I'm a good salesperson, and our hearts just soared.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
It is responsible for every aspect of the business. Paperwork work sucks, lol.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be patient with yourself, learn from your mistakes, and never give up. Always enjoy the small moments of success.
