What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is called "Get Vertical," and my customers are women, 30-80, who want a team behind them to stay focused on looking after #1.
Tell us about yourself
What got me "Vertical" was the pandemic. My kids were all home, my restaurant business of healthy food called Freshii was closed, and I was down and out! I decided to drop it all and look after myself. I pressed Facebook live for the first time in my life! Scared and full of doubt, I pressed play, and on the other side of fear, I found a group of women looking for motivation and connection! The warrior group grew, and now I have thousands of women getting vertical daily! The women keep me going! Excited to jump out of bed now, going on three years!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
After doing free workouts online for a year, the members said, "Hey Ker, you should charge us!" It's a business that was founded by all the women, old friends, family, and new friends. They said yes, at the time I needed it most! Each woman has helped this business grow! I am most proud that this helps people feel good!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest part is learning the technology that goes along with business growth online!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
