What's your business, and who are your customers?

Get The Edge Coaching Group is a business coaching firm that transforms businesses from a wide range of industries, across all verticals, into innovative, productive, and profitably run organizations. We work with small to mid-size companies to help them increase performance, develop problem-solving skills and provide them with powerful tools and exercises to deal with challenging obstacles that they encounter within their company.

Tell us about yourself

I've been coaching for over a decade. I ran several six and seven-figure businesses and fell in love with helping aspiring entrepreneurs reach their goals. When you see the look on a business owner's face when they reach that “Aha!” moment, it’s exciting. It’s not something I did, it’s something they did, and they know it. I supplied the tools, but they climbed the mountain. I look for that moment in every coaching session. That is the juice that keeps me doing what I do, to know that they are getting the results they want based on the passion and commitment they bring to the table. I help them with a new perspective on their business model.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The hard work and dedication I have put into growing my business. It's a challenging but rewarding journey that requires grit, perseverance, and resolve.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Removing limiting beliefs. I think most entrepreneurs dismiss the mindset part of a business because they don’t really understand it. I didn’t understand it when I started. But removing limiting beliefs and mastering your mindset is truly the hardest thing to do when it comes to being a business owner. I have been studying all levels of the mind since I was a teenager, from visualization to priming, and I’m still learning new things about myself and ways to overcome my mindset. If you truly want to be a great entrepreneur, you must first master yourself.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Follow your passion and believe in yourself. Don't let fear and self-doubt hold you back.
  2. Be resilient and adaptable. Don't be afraid to try new things. Take risks. Learn from your mistakes and use them to improve and grow.
  3. Build a strong network and surround yourself with the right people. Find a coach or mentor who's done it before and do whatever it takes to work with them. As the saying goes, "Your network is your net worth."
