What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is teaching those who are interested in getting into real estate how to become the bank through mortgage notes. My markets are women and men who are between the ages of 30-65 who are looking to create passive income through real estate.

Tell us about yourself

I began this entrepreneurial journey because I realized very early in life that working for yourself created more freedom, time, and satisfaction in creating your own worth. I am motivated by the number of people who desire to change the trajectory of their lives by investing in themselves and creating their own stories.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner, I don't believe it has happened yet. Business is progressive, and I see each activity that I do as an assignment and not necessarily as an accomplishment. I am assigned to do what I do each day because there is always someone who is counting on me to lead them to their assignment in life. I guess if I had to provide a 'biggest", it would be the latter of what I said. Leading others to their assignment.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is shifting from being the owner to being the CEO. Most entrepreneurs create a job for themselves. Owning a business is different from being a business owner. A business owner owns everything and has delegation challenges. Owning a business says you are the CEO, and you have systems in place that run the business, and you, the CEO oversee those systems.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Build a well-qualified team to help get you to your next level.
  2. Plan and execute ideas generated by your team.
  3. Always have people around you that are much smarter than you in relation to your business.
