Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in photography but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with George Krousti, Owner of George Krousti Photography, located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, UK.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a professional wedding photographer. My main client base is the couples that I photograph.

Tell us about yourself

I wanted to pursue a career that I could get passionate about. I started learning the basics of photography when I was 16 years old and have been hooked ever since. Photography is a lifelong passion. I love developing my photography knowledge, and I am always looking to develop the business into new areas.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Making money from something that I love.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is not earning the megabucks that some of my friends and family are earning, especially now with a growing family and the cost of living crisis. However, I wouldn't change it for the world, and that's because I love what I do. I am my own boss, and the flexibility that I have from day to day to be around my kids as they grow up is priceless.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be confident, be yourself, and follow your instincts.
