What's your background and motivation to grow as a solopreneur?

I am a self-motivated entrepreneur who got into real estate as means of setting up my future retirement. The lessons I've learned in the last 17 years prompted the writing of my new book "Property Management Basics for the Part-Time Landlord"

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being able to support me and my family over the last 20 years!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a solopreneur?

The buck stops with you, you are the CEO and the janitor. The hours are long and hard.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Written your plan and vision down so you have something to follow and update.
  2. Find help and advisors to guide you and work with you.
  3. Make sure you are well funded!

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?

Making sure we are well funded! Using our resources to expand and grow.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?

Food and positive inputs from mentors and coaches.
