What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business name is GEMS 💎 with Genesis Amaris Kemp Podcast. Our customers/avatar is someone who is looking for content that is educational, inspirational, and motivational. Leveraging this space and plugging in to learn more from me via 1:1 Visionary Life Coaching.
Tell us about yourself
I fell into podcasting due to the grief I faced after losing my father suddenly during the pandemic. Not from COVID but from medical negligence. My daughter motivates me each day to do what I am doing, along with myself wanting to leave a legacy and lay a foundation for this period of my life and future generations to come.
Visionary life coaching, I was already putting out various content based on personal and professional experiences, and people started to reach out for guidance in the respective areas they were trying to navigate.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Surpassing various trials helped build moments of triumph and overall testimonies. Not giving up when I didn't see any momentum. Staying the course.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
When you first start off working on everything yourself until it makes sense to automate and outsource. Going through periods of rejection and reminding yourself to not take it personally.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in yourself, no matter what.
- Know that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but a strength.
- Surround yourself with others who have the same drive, have been where you started and surpassed it, and are honest enough to give you transparent feedback because they truly want to see you accelerate.
- Never stop learning and challenging yourself.
