What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business and my passion intertwined closely. I capture through images love stories. I'm a storyteller. I believe that LOVE is LOVE. Clients come to me with shared values and the desire to capture the big and everyday moments for the love to prevail.

Tell us about yourself

As a high-performance athlete on the Canadian National Team for Freestyle Skiing, I always carried a camera with me everywhere in the World that competitions would take me. My desire is to document the beauty around me to be able to come home and show my family. From that initial love grew my maturity and the realization of how precious & sacred love between two partners truly is. It became my passion for helping people document that feeling with their loved ones. The biggest blessing has been to see my passion and devotion grow even more strongly 15 years into it. Discover the unique love stories, the struggles, and the perseverance that each one holds while being ever so grateful for being the chosen one to capture it all. The profound sense of joy felt when capturing an emotion, a moment from an unguarded person with their full blessing of allowing me into their circle, is where the magic happens.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I currently see my biggest accomplishment in two separate but equally important spheres. To have created a service from the ground up in my second language in a creative field, often relying on non-essential service in a highly competitive touristic area for the past 15 years. While also evolving artistically and truly creating an experience of adventure, embracing my amazing surroundings following my Leave no Trace principles, and feeling more inspired than ever by the imagery that my clients and I capture.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The ups and down on demand and financial stability, as well as the feeling of 24/7 wondering if you have done everything you can to make your business successful :-)

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. If you want longevity and happiness, then it needs to start with a passion.
  2. Perseverance and rigorous efforts will see you through.
  3. Do everything with authenticity and integrity.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Patience and staying humble are key but be sure to celebrate your victories no matter how small more than your defeats no matter how big.
