What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is a small handmade soap and skincare company focusing on cruelty-free, organic ingredients with vegan options!

Tell us about yourself

I first started my business as a household thing for myself. I wanted to learn how to make soap because I didn’t like how the mainstream soaps made my skin feel. After making my own, it grew into this passion!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment has been the people I’ve met throughout my business process. I’ve grown a phenomenal network and continue to grow daily.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Wearing many hats. I used to hate (or strongly dislike) working my 9-5 job, and once I left and became a full-time Entrepreneur, I realized I work 24 hours a day now— so who’s really laughing? Kidding; all in all, I love it and wouldn’t trade it for a 9-5 again.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Show up every single day. Be consistent! You may feel like no one is watching, and it doesn’t matter, but one day, you’ll have an audience, and it will be the best fruit of your labor.
  2. Invest in good photography, branding, and a website! You have to spend money to make money.
  3. Hire people— I can’t stress this enough. You’ll be wearing a lot of hats, but you just can’t wear all the hats in the world!
