Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in marketing but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Renee Dick, Owner of Fresh Life Marketing, located in Menifee, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own Fresh Life Marketing, where I specialize in done-for-you content repurposing services! I help give content-heavy entrepreneurs their time back by giving their old content a longer, fresher life!

Tell us about yourself

I went from working in a salon with tons of people to becoming a stay-at-home with no people. I started to notice my anxiety climbing and stress kicking in, so I knew I had to do something for myself. I decided to start a blog in 2019 on nothing but an idea and have created an online community with people all over the country! I truly did just jump, and the net appeared. So now I use that as my motivation to show people what they can do when they decide to go for it!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I started my blog in 2019 with the main intent to give value and create relationships. I used content repurposing to grow my brand organically (I wasn't making money, so I had to get creative), and to this day, I still have never paid for ads and have built my marketing agency and podcast on nothing but providing organic content packed with value and genuine relationships!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Thinking that everyone has the answer but you. When in fact, no one is going to have the answer because we're all on different paths. Once you figure out how to go within to find the answers you seek, being a business owner gets so much easier and more fun.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be prepared to give way more than you take. I gave away everything for two years before I ever charged.
  2. Play the long game; think about the lifetime value of a customer over a quick buck today!
  3. Surround yourself with people that are waayy farther along than you are; they can help you more than you know!
