What's your business, and who are your customers?

I have a Cuban Bakery, and my goal is for clients of all nationalities to come and share a little bit of our culinary culture.

When I was in Cuba, I worked in a large bakery where my specialty was tartlets. When I arrived in this country, I worked hard with my wife to be able to make our own bakery; that was always my dream when I came here.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

It is knowing that I am going to generate jobs in the future and that all my clients leave pleased.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I think it is to be able to give stability to the business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Fight for the business.
  2. Have perseverance.
  3. Be responsible.
