What's your business, and who are your customers?

Fox Business Advisors helps clients dollarize their product benefits, say "last longer," into money. This enables clients to raise prices and overcome price objections. Clients range from $25 million in revenue to Fortune 500 companies.

Tell us about yourself

I started the company in 1982. The three prior companies where I worked became clients in week one. We have challenging client demands, including branding, innovation, sales training, and CEO counsel. We are good at solving these issues.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Not sure if this is the correct answer. I've written several international and NYTimes best-selling business books. Have helped commercialize 100s of new products, helped brand 100s of products, and helped reposition brands and companies.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The constant pressure to generate revenues.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

In addition to reading all my books:

  1. Have a customer today or for certain in the affordable future.
  2. Have more start-up money than you think you need.
  3. Be a rainmaker, or hire rainmakers.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Be simple, direct, available, fair, nice, and relentless. In 1851, Gustave Flaubert wrote, "It's no easy business being simple." Simplify, simplify, simplify.
