What's your business, and who are your customers?

FoodByte is a digital food safety platform. By automating day-to-day food safety tasks and data collection, it gives food & beverage processors with teams 2-15 the peace of mind to focus on other aspects of their business.

Tell us about yourself

From a young age, I was always enamored with food and entrepreneurship. FoodByte is the blend of my professional chef training and insatiable entrepreneurship spirit. Today I listen to our customers' stories of how our simple platform saves them thousands of dollars ($40,000+/year), and they rest well at night knowing they have complete control of their food safety documents.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Raising the required capital to fund FoodByte in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The decision to terminate employees.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  2. Be ruthless in your conviction.
  3. Reverse engineer as much as possible.
