Tell us about yourself and your journey to where you are today...
We are an e-commerce floral company, our customers, and one that enjoys flowers to give/receive.
What motivates you each day?
After years of working in the industry, I saw the need for something new, a fresh new way of buying flowers. With us, you get the benefits of custom flowers without the custom costs. No job is too small, especially in the wedding industry, having no minimum, no packages. I work closely with the couples to bring their vision to life. My motivation is seeing the smiles when someone receives a flower arrangement.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seawalk Custom Florals has been in business for 3.5 years now. We have accomplished many things, numerous "Best of" awards, being featured on GMA3, but my most significant would be, having clients call to ask if I can help them; they need flowers and can't find a florist help.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I love what I do, and it shows!
What are your top 3 tips that you'd give to anyone looking to launch, run and grow a business today?
1. Have a plan. The pros and cons and what you expect to achieve.
2. Get in contact with your local Chamber of Commerce and SBDC.
3. Networking is a must.
