What's your business, and who are your customers?
Five Grapes Designs is an Etsy shop that sells printable and editable files. My purpose is to help others by providing printables that add that extra magic to the holidays and special events. My customers are parents, teachers, grandparents, Sunday school teachers, or anyone looking for quality printables. I offer games, tags, letters, and certificates for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Back to School, and more.
Tell us about yourself
I am a self-employed mom of four children ages 2-11. In 2020, my children weren't able to attend school. I had to resign from my job of 20 years to stay home and teach my children. I am the sole provider for myself and my children, so I had to find something I could do from home to replace my income. I've always created holiday games and written letters from Santa and the Easter bunny for my children, so I decided to share them with the world.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My greatest accomplishment so far as a business owner has been achieving my goal of 5000 sales on Etsy. I am now on my way to achieving my next goal of 10,000 sales.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is dividing my time between caring for my children, maintaining the house, and growing my online business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My top 3 tips I would give to anyone looking to start, run, and grow a business today are to just get started, use YouTube to learn, and use social media to create an online presence.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I'm always adding new products to my Etsy shop.
