What's your business, and who are your customers?
Fisher & Stout is an Arkansas-based luxury travel advisory specializing in you. We work with solo travelers, couples, families, and friends. We design custom itineraries, celebrate special occasions, and provide inspiration for your upcoming vacation, all while protecting your most precious resource—your time.
Tell us about yourself
After a twenty-year career in the film/theatre industry, I started Fisher & Stout as a way to follow my passion for transformation travel and to bring that opportunity to others.
The knowledge that I can literally help people fulfill their dreams, inspire them, and provide a quality service that changes lives brings me motivation each day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is probably getting through the pandemic and slowly but steadily growing my clientele through referrals.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me as a business owner is knowing there’s no one way to do business. I sometimes want a formula or specific way to do a certain task, but I realize it comes down to what works for you and your business model. It’s a fun challenge, though.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know your why. You must understand what drives you personally as well as professionally, and if they align, then that’s where you find success.
- Be yourself. You are an original, so don’t end up a copy. This aligns with the first point.
- Know that with the highs, there will be lows, but overall, it’s an amazingly rewarding journey.
