What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are an executive resume writing and LinkedIn optimization company. We focus on assisting professionals with their resume needs, ensuring that they quickly attract hiring managers within their fields. It is also a critical part of our business to assist with LinkedIn optimization efforts, making sure that our clients know how to expand their network and showcase their skills appropriately.

Tell us about yourself

I have a 15+ year background in writing, and in 2017 I decided to help a friend write her resume. It turned out great, so I decided to break into the niche market of resume writing. In 2022 we have grown 10X since 2017, and I look forward to hearing from my clients every day. My team and I have written, reviewed, and optimized 10K+ resumes spanning entry-level to executive-level professionals.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is hearing from clients who let me know I helped improve their life. Whether it's the personal or professional life, getting a new career can be stressful... and I am blessed that I can be a part of that monumental life change! I am grateful for the amazing business partners and the team I have. Without them, I wouldn't have the success in helping thousands of leaders globally.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I work nonstop! I am working 24/7 around the clock to ensure my clients are happy and successful -- word of mouth is super important to me, and one angry client could be detrimental. I put my clients first in all cases and ensure they are happy, excited, and looking forward to the next step in their careers.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Take time for yourself and don't overdo it --- burnout is real!
  2. Learn from your mistakes and strive for greatness every single day.
  3. Talk to someone who understands business woes. It's ok to ask for help!
