What's your business, and who are your customers?
We make the best chocolate in the world, of course. We search the globe to find the finest ingredients and farms and then make everything in our Brooklyn chocolate factory.
Tell us about yourself
I've been obsessed with chocolate since I can remember. When I was younger, my friends used to keep chocolate at their houses just for when I would come to visit. I always find myself surprised at how magical the world can be, and those magic moments can come out of the blue at any time - I hold this thought close to me and find it really motivating to stay present and focused even on the little things.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I was on the cover of Brooklyn Edible magazine, a publication I've admired since I moved to Brooklyn.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I think time management and work/life balance is the toughest thing. I tend to be a workaholic, and it's difficult for me to hand over projects and tasks. But I'm a much better person when I live a balanced life.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do the little things as they add up to big things.
- Don't be afraid to go slow and keep your patience.
- Never give up.
