Tell us all about your business...

I am an insurance broker who specializes in helping parents protect themselves & their children.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a solopreneur?

My main motivation is my 3 children which is why I am so passionate about creating awareness to help parents protect what matters most.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being able to provide an amazing lifestyle around my children while making memories with them, the company is growing rapidly within the first year of business. But it is also worked around making sure my family comes first.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a solopreneur?

Learning to be disciplined to say no to the things that are not going to benefit your end goal. Saying yes to everything to get customers is not going to work out best for you in the end - battling the fear of no is challenging, but it is so worthwhile.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Believe in yourself, work hard & stay consistent.

If there was one thing you could do repeatedly to help grow your business, what would it be?

Be visual on social media - always.

What are some of the things you put in place to maintain a healthy work/life balance and to keep it all together?

Apps like Calendly / Typeform - to help ease the pressure of juggling appointments/ client information. It is a lot more productive to have someone else do those bookings/forms for you.

Who are some of your favorite entrepreneurs? Do you have any must not miss business resources that you'd recommend?

Tony Robins - unleash the power within. If you're just starting, you should listen to this book, and then all of Tony's books, he's a genius!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Not everyone is going to understand what your doing. You are not always going to get support from friends & family. But you aren’t doing it for anyone else, you are doing it for yourself. So ignore everything else that isn’t seeing your vision - it’s your journey, not theirs!
