What's your business, and who are your customers?
Fight4U, LLC is a full-service, Situational Awareness and Self-Defense educational and training corporation. Fight4U creates custom-designed programs for your institute, university, school, business, personal group, or individual needs. We offer a broad range of services with custom-tailored workshops, seminars, and physical combat training focusing specifically on the day-to-day situations each induvial encounters. Although our primary goal is to educate on avoiding conflict, we provide physical defense training and combat tactics to protect yourself. My Clients are children 6 and up, teens, adults, and seniors. I design custom programs for corporations, working professionals, healthcare, and higher education. This is for any individual, regardless of experience.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Tracey Cardella, and I am a confident woman who loves life. I am a mother, wife, sister, friend, and confidant. I am proud to say that I am a Situational Self-Defense Guru with a passion for teaching and advocating for people to be in complete control in every aspect of life – confidently, positively, and unapologetically. For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to protect other people. Now, when I say protection, I mean being there, giving words of wisdom, supporting them, and, most importantly, letting them know that their power is within them, and they can find that even in the worst of storms.
What I learned from this was one of my strongest skills is listening to understand. I found myself in college, focusing my studies on psychology and criminal justice. After graduating, it led me to work in the state of New Jersey as a Victim Advocate. Working as an advocate for high-profile criminal cases and working closely with the victim and their family created this fire and desire for me to guide them to stay rooted in who they are and encourage them to keep walking and owning their story. I was introduced to self-defense 14 years ago, and I fell in love with it immediately. I loved feeling confident and then learning the educational piece of self-awareness and putting those both together, so not only did I feel, but I looked confident. My motivation every day is to Confidently make decisions that work for me at all times and always have my back no matter what I am up against. This takes a lot of practice and self-reflection.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Knowing the impact I have made on every single person I have worked with based on the positive feedback and constant referrals continues to help grow Fight4U!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The business aspect is difficult. I do not have much experience in running a business when it comes to paperwork, waivers, insurance policies, advertisement, and marketing. Plus, being a full-time working mom - But it’s worth it!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

- What are the worst three scenarios you can think about with starting a business? Jot those down, and answer how you would feel and how you will overcome them.
