Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Phyllis Frempong, Founder of Fibroid Queen, located in Houston, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am the founder of Fibroid Queen, a holistic service that provides meal plans, education, workouts, and natural resources to help women eliminate hormonal and reproductive challenges.

Tell us about yourself

I am a Personal Trainer, Registered Nurse, and Womb Coach. Over the years, I have struggled with my own weight issues, and like many women, I, too, was plagued by the symptoms of fibroids. I went from a burnt-out nurse to dropping 30 lbs to rocking the stage as a bodybuilder and later shrinking and eliminating fibroids naturally.

I created a unique 7-step formula where I coach you with personalized meal plans, unique workouts, as well as herbal supplements, and other resources. So whether you are looking to eliminate the root of fibroids and/or get back in shape, I can coach you on how to get lasting results that will empower you to tap in to create the life you are destined for!

I am so grateful to be able to use my story of perseverance and determination to lead others to find their path to healing. Changing the game for women's health and exercising my mindset to create the life I want motivates me each and every day!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is using my passion and my own personal healing journey to grow and empower a community of nearly 20,000.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Working for myself is one of the hardest things I have had to do as a business owner because accountability falls solely on my shoulders. It requires so much discipline, time management, and consistency to be able to balance the responsibilities of running a business and make sure I don't let anyone down. I quickly discovered that how I conducted habits and activities in my business made a huge difference. When I put off tasks and neglected responsibilities, it was easy to see how that was costing me money. Through immense reflection and re-defining my role as a business owner, I learned that not only does my career performance depend on how responsibly I handle tasks but also that my self-care heavily influences the ways it all runs. Now, it's something truly magical being able to recognize how important taking yourself seriously can be - making sure you keep your word to those around you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Identify who you want to become in this lifetime.
  2. Write out your legacy.
  3. Get a mentor, join a like-minded group to share ideas, and have a sound mind-body lifestyle practice!
